31 Mar Year 2 “visits” six countries during International Days!
During the last week of the Spring Term, the children in Year 2 had the opportunity to take imaginary visits to six countries and learn cultural and geographical facts about them. The children “travelled” on their imaginary class-airplane to the other Year 2 classes to spend part of the day in a different country and broaden their knowledge about these countries and their languages. They then had the chance to apply the newly acquired information by exploring some themed independent challenges and extend their skills through a range of art, crafts, music, fine & gross motor and language-focused challenges. They even have stamps to show in their passports!
