Last Spring, Sutton Housing Society Ltd starting developing 23 new homes in Bond Gardens. The current Year 2 children who were then in Year 1 met with Laura George to find out all about the project as part of their Community Explorers topic.

The project involved removing some existing buildings and creating the 23 new homes. Laura set the children the challenge of naming for the new development. The children and their families came up with lots of exciting ideas linked to the local area.

Laura visited the school again in February 2018 to announce the name that had been chosen, Peppermint Court.

We are very excited that our children have taken such an active and long lasting part in the development of their community. The child whose name was chosen was presented with a certificate and Sutton Housing Society Limited presented the school with a book voucher for all the children to enjoy.

We look forward to the grand opening later this year.
