As part of our PSED curriculum we have been finding out about all the different types of jobs that grown ups do. We have talked to the grown ups in our families to find out what jobs they do or what they used to do.

We have several Nursery families who are involved in the emergency services and a couple of parents visited Nursery to tell us all about their very interesting roles.

Fire Service

We found out all about the uniform fire fighters need to wear to keep them safe. We also learned about all the emergencies the fire service can be called out to.

Transport Police

When the police visited us they arrived in a big police van with the blue lights flashing! We were able to explore the police van, have our finger prints taken and try on some uniform. The police officers explained how they keep us safe on the roads and on other forms of transport.
