06 Feb Nursery’s Winter Walk
On a cold day in January, Nursery went for a walk around the school grounds to spot signs of winter.
We noticed that there were very few leaves on the trees….
We discovered that we needed to wear our coats, wellies and hats to stay warm, and even when we had the right kit on we could still feel the cold wind blowing on our skin.
We noticed that many of the plants had died back leaving bare branches and easier access to our woodland pathway.
As part of our phonics learning we also used our listening ears on our walk and heard lots of sirens, traffic noise, bird calls, children playing instruments and even an aeroplane high in the sky.
What an exciting walk!!
