27 Jan Moon Zoom!
Children in Year 2 have really engaged with their topic Moon Zoom. They created some amazing learning at home to share what they already knew about Space, as well as creating questions about what they would like to find out. The children have enjoyed learning about the Solar System through reading books and watching clips on the internet. They have co-operated as a year group, using the technique of papier mache to create their own Solar System.
The children used inflatable planets to create a physical representation of the Solar System. Each child was a planet and explored how the distance from the Sun affects how long it takes for a planet to orbit the sun.
Everyone has learned lots of new facts and is excited to include them in their very own Space Book!
